Berry and Almond Smoothie Recipe - Nutrition Dynamics

This Berry and Almond smoothie is so delicious, it will appeal to all age groups, perfect for children and anyone on a dairy free diet.

Serves 2

50 g fresh raspberries
150g frozen strawberry and banana mix
175ml almond milk
2 tbsp ground almonds

Blend everything together in a powerful blender

Frozen fruits are a convenient to have at the ready so you can always make a smoothie, use frozen raspberries as well, if preferred .

What’s so good about this Smoothie?

All of the fruits in this smoothie will add fibre to your diet. Studies from around the world have shown that fibre is important in preventing colon cancer. Raspberries are extremely rich in health promoting nutrients giving antioxidant protection from free radicals. The main antioxidant is called a flavanoid, of which anthocyanidines give raspberries their deep colour and health benefits. An excellent source of vitamin C and ellegic acid amongst other many other vitamins and minerals.
